Alltel updates MyCircle calling plans
To kick off Fall, Alltel Wireless has once again enhanced its “My Circle” plans. Now Alltel customers with My Circle plans $79.99 and higher will automatically get unlimited text, video and picture messaging to their My Circle numbers as well as to all other Alltel Wireless customers.
In addition, family lines attached to a $79.99 or higher plan will qualify for unlimited My Circle and mobile-to-mobile messaging, regardless of whether or not the customer has purchased an Alltel Message Pack.

Verizon Wireless has entered into an agreement with Alltel Corporation and Atlantis Holdings LLC, an affiliate of private investment firm TPG Capital and GS Capital Partners, to acquire Alltel Corporation in a cash merger. Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ) and Vodafone (NYSE and LSE: VOD).Under the terms of the agreement, Verizon Wireless will acquire the equity of Alltel for approximately $5.9 billion.
